The Symphobia Series is a proven tool of inspiration for scoring films, games and television. Symphobia offers true ensemble recordings of a full symphony orchestra and choir, various beautiful solo instruments and an unbeatable collection of intense, cinematic orchestral effects.
Discover the fully updated 1.6 Editions of the library series that forever changed the film scoring game.
New articulations & effects (S1 & S2)
The Symphobia Series 1.6 Edition adds newly recorded sample content.
Sul Tasto Strings
Symphobia 1 now features a beautiful set of sul tasto strings. Recorded in multiple dynamics, starting at a whispering ppp, these sul tastos can be played as a full ensemble or per section.
For Symphobia 2, we recorded a hair-raising new set of string effects, which we dubbed the Ghostly Strings. Killer Bees, Undead Trills and Creepy Bending give you an idea of some of the sounds you will encounter. Many of the effects are available in multiple, mod-wheel controlled dynamics, as well as different articulations.
Both Symphobia 1 and 2 pack numerous new and inspiring Multis to experiment with.
New features (S1, S2 & S3)
Over 16 new features were added to the Symphobia Series 1.6 Edition, as well as many performance enhancements and fixes. In Symphobia 1 and 2, you can now switch articulations using the new articulation slider, which can also be mapped to CC. In all three Symphobia volumes, you can now lock your selected articulations, disabling all keyswitches and other articulation control, which is very useful when using bigger templates. It is now also possible to route individual mic outputs, lock round robins and enable/disable the sustain pedal. For an overview of the biggest changes, check out the video on the right.
Elastik 3, developed in cooperation with zplane.development, is the most powerful sample player that has ever been created. It provides a complete toolkit for modern music producers working with audio loops. Loops can be an essential part of many musicians creative process and, with Elastik, you get a fast, efficient and flexible set of tools.
With its intuitive Loopeye editing environment, the high-quality pitch, key, scale and tempo manipulation algorithms and the huge collection of Elastik-ready sample libraries spanning almost every conceivable musical genre, Elastik is a powerful workstation for loop-based music creation. It can be used either as a stand-alone application or as plugin within almost any DAW on both Windows and macOS platforms.
The new ReTune tab in the Loopeye editor gives you complete control over the scale and key of any tonal loop and can even work with polyphonic material.
The ReTune algorithm, developed by zplane.development, analyzes polyphonic and monophonic sound material in realtime and transform it to the desired key and scale while retaining high audio quality. Enter custom scales via the matrix or chose from preset scales to adjust any loop to your project. ReTune can also be used as a creative tool for sounddesign with parameters like sensitivity, transients, smoothing and pitch correction as well as a Dry / Wet control.
If you want complete control over the time and pitch stretching process, the Time tab within the Loopeye editor allows you to choose between six different algorithms, from the simple and super efficient PitchSpeed to the high quality ProV3 which gives you the maximum scope for varying pitch and tempo while minimizing audio artifacts. This tab also includes new stretching FX for additional creative options. The engine is also very efficient and CPU-friendly.
In addition to the pitch and tempo manipulation, Elastik’s central Loopeye forms a detailed loop-editing tool. A large number of parameters can be adjusted, including slice-based pitch-shifting, volume and pan, reverse, formant, filter and resample. Elastik even includes a random sound replacement function called INSPIRE: one click on the Inspire button and Elastik will select an alternative loop, providing just that bit of additional inspiration when you need it. All this can be done on the fly and without leaving the Elastik environment. You can define which soundbanks will be used in the Inspire tool with the new Inspire browser.
While Elastik is a hugely creative tool, it also provides an extremely efficient workflow. The streamlined browser means that no matter how large your Elastik loop library becomes, you can always find just the right loop in an efficient fashion. Elastik also includes advanced features such as tagging and filtering, making it easy to narrow down any search. The browser allows you to easily audition loops in BPM, key and scale sync with your project. And if you want to add new loop libraries from the Ueberschall range, the authorization process is fast and secure.
Once you have identified loops to use within your project, they can be mapped to Elastik’s virtual keyboard or pads ready to be triggered from within Elastik, via your MIDI keyboard or from your host sequencer. A range of different triggering methods are available so you can ensure that your loops stay locked in sync with your project. Elastik’s sophisticated time, pitch, key and scale shifting algorithms – featuring zplane’s cutting edge audio processing technology - maximize audio quality and you have independent control over all parameters and maximum flexibility when it comes to matching loops to the tempo and key of any project.
Elastik’s Key Features include:
+ innovative Loopeye functions
+ Retune: polyphonic scale and key shifting
+ timestretch and pitchshift in best quality
+ fast browser features (multiple filter search, tagging)
+ prelisten in BPM, key and scale sync
+ sequence mode (loads of editing features per slice)
+ random sound replacement via Inspire
+ parameter automation
+ realtime sync to host
+ multiple outs
+ bounce of original and modified loops
+ resizable window format
+ multiple soundbank management
Ueberschall’s Elastik Player and Elastik Loop Libraries; an essential and extreme flexible combination for professional music production

Once I had gotten a grip on it, Heavier7Strings has been one of the most joyful instruments that I’ve used lately. It is not just a tool for creating angry metal riffs, but also for playing mad metal solo lines, sounding absolutely realistic with all the elements that you hear in most metal songs. I didn’t elaborate on this part, but according to some third party demo clips, with some keyboard playing skills and a few CC/key-switch changes, it can be done perfectly. Playing chords and melodies with clean sounds is also quite enjoyable and surprisingly realistic. Some clean presets sound a bit 80’s, but otherwise very impressive.
It’s one of the best heavy guitar recreations that I’ve heard and tried in the last decade – and I’ve heard and tried quite a few of them. Even if you are a guitar player, sometimes it is quite a bit easier to use such an instrument. And if you are not, and you are looking for such an addition to your sound arsenal, then this is a must.
We congratulate Eduardo Tarilonte for, again, 5 Stars in the Sound On Sound Magazin! This time for the review of Ancient ERA Persia
"This is an inspiring collection of fascinating and evocative instruments, whether you're into creating Middle Eastern mood for films or gaming, or interested in cross-fertilising with other musicla genres"

Young and very talented composer Ashton Gleckman is showing us what’s so great about using The Orchestra in his 15 minute wrap up of the Orchestra... you can easily understand why works at Remote Control Productions after watching this.
Thank you Ashton!
Also watch the brand new Single Instrument Walkthrough video directly from the makers of The Orchestra. You will learn how to use the multi-keyswitch single instruments for fast and fantastic results.
As always, Eduardo Tarilonte made a library that will be automatically ordered by people who already have some of his libraries.
It is not a standard sound library with a wide collection of all possible articulations for one or two instruments but a collection of many different instruments and tools that will help you to tell a story in the times of ancient Persia. ERA Persia is the best tool for that purpose, as Eduardo is a great storyteller. If you are in media music production then you are reading this article just to prove to yourself that you did the right thing by buying this library in advance. If this is not the case, then it is maybe a good time to check at least some audio and video demo clips that you can find on the Best Service Era Persia webpage.
Ancient ERA – Persia is a great collection of loops, phrases, instruments and soundscapes covering one very specific era and place. A perfect tool for all games, media and movie composers.

The latest in Synthogy´s highly acclaimed Ivory II series of virtual pianos, Ivory II Studio Grands features two classic studio grand pianos recorded in iconic studios.
The Steinway B is one of the most recorded pianos in history and is widely considered the ideal studio piano. Its unique balance of size and power make it an extremely versatile instrument for all styles of music. This particular instrument was hand selected and prepared with the kind cooperation of Steinway & Sons® at their factory in Astoria New York.
Before recording, all piano regulation, voicing and tuning was done on-site by a Steinway concert technician before painstakingly sampled by Synthogy’s expert team. The recording sessions took place in the classic tuned live room of Power Station NE, an acoustic replica of the famed Power Station New York.
This Bösendorfer 225 Grand Piano possesses a deeply resonant tone and balance in all registers and has a distinguished place in the history of recorded music. Slightly longer than most studio grands at 7' 4", and with four additional low keys, this instrument has appeared on numerous Grammy®-winning and Grammy-nominated recordings. The sessions were engineered by Tony Shepperd in the state-of-the-art Studio A at Firehouse Recording Studios in Pasadena, its venerated sound captured in this historic piano room.
The Orchestra by Sonuscore puts the sound of a complete European session orchestra at your fingertips.
Instead of going for the polished Hollywood-sound, we took a more direct approach, leaving our samples sound as real and edgy as possible. In a light-weight and no nonsense approach, all important articulations are made available to you in a streamlined and efficient virtual instrument. All sections are recorded in one room and designed to sound together out of the box without a lot of effort in mixing.
With the groundbreaking Ensemble-Engine, The Orchestra provides a vast number of inspiring orchestral colors and rhythms for you to discover.

There is something quite magical about the sound of African choral singing. Producer Eduardo Tarilonte, who has an impressive track record when it comes to delivering high-quality niche sample libraries, and Best Service have done their best to capture the essence of that sound in Kwaya. This sample-based virtual instrument designed for Kontakt (the free Player or full version) features the voices of the award winning Uganda-based Aba Taano choir, a group of four male and two female singers. The library is built upon 10,000 individual samples and some 7GB of data.
This month you may be the lucky winner of KWAYA African Voices, worth € 259.-!

I enjoyed working with ERA II Vocal Codex from the first time I installed it. Like I said earlier, I have worked with all of Eduardo’s libraries and Vocal Codex is hands down another masterpiece from the master himself. I think there is a great deal of flexibility in the vocal capability and it is hyper-realistic. With a little bit of time and persistence, you can achieve a highly convincing vocal performance. The asking price of $159.00 is another pro for me. Well worth the investment.
